The town is divided into two large bays, Levante and Poniente, both seperated by the emblematic silhouette of the Castle of San Juan de las Águilas. This fortress, now converted into a museum, can be visited. Upstairs you have a wonderful view of the whole town.
Águilas has 28 km of coastline and 35 beaches, these splendid conditions are even more favored by the microclimate that generates its situation, surrounded by a series of mountain ranges that separate it from the Guadalentín valley. There are more than 3,200 hours of sunshine a year, and an average temperature of 23 ºC, which brings with it mild winters and summer nights with a tropical atmosphere.

Águilas is also a spectacular point of interest for diving.

In addition to offering excellent areas to enjoy diving, the city of Águilas is offered as an excellent option to practice all kinds of water sports: windsurfing, light sailing or canoeing. In recent years, the city has become a benchmark in the practice of triathlon, having hosted several national competitions.

In addition, recently, a Network of Nature Trails has been set up, which can be explored on foot or by bicycle and run through the natural landscapes of the area. 15 minutes from the city center, you can also enjoy a golf club.
